About us

A small Sydney crew, obsessed with a good day out

We started Peak Tours because the best of Sydney deserves better than a checklist read off a clipboard.

Our story

Peak Tours began with a simple frustration. Between us we'd taken — and guided — a lot of day tours around Sydney, and too many felt the same: a big coach, a bigger crowd, a guide reading facts off a card, and the nagging sense you were being moved through a place rather than shown it.

We knew it could be better, because the ingredients here are world-class. An hour west, the Blue Mountains drop away into valleys that swallow the horizon. An hour north, a coastline of secret beaches and headlands most visitors never reach. And right in the middle, one of the great harbours on earth, with a history hiding in plain sight. The places were never the problem. The way they were being shown was.

So we built the kind of tours we'd actually want to be on: small groups, genuine local guides, everything included up front, and days paced so the best moments have room to land. No monotones. No surprise costs. No being herded. Just a properly good day out, run by people who love this city and know it cold.

Small groups. Local guides. All-inclusive. Days that flow. That's the whole philosophy — everything else is detail.
Why Peak Tours

The difference is who's driving

We're a small Sydney operator. You get a real local, a small group, and a day that's been run enough times to flow without ever feeling rushed.

Unhurried by design

The day's paced to actually enjoy, not to tick a checklist — you stay where it's worth staying, never rushed to the next stop.

Guides worth the trip

Switched-on Sydney locals who read the group, know the stories behind the views, and make the day genuinely good company.

One price, no surprises

Park entries, ferries and cruises are all in from the start. No upsells on the day, no "that bit's extra."

What we care about

How we run a day

Respect for Country

We acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the lands and waters we travel — the Gundungurra and Darug peoples of the Blue Mountains, and the Guringai and Gadigal peoples of the coast and harbour — and we share their stories with care.

Light footprint

Small groups mean less impact. We stick to tracks, take our rubbish with us, support local cafés and operators, and leave every spot as we found it.

Honest & safe

We're fully insured, our guides are first-aid trained, and we'll always give you the straight answer on fitness, weather and what a day really involves.
